Consent for Biblie's artificial intelligence features

This document explains the choice Biblie presents before you use features that send information to an external artificial intelligence (AI) provider. Consent for AI is separate from account creation, the Terms of Use, and the Privacy Policy.

1. Which features depend on AI

Biblie may use AI to respond in chat, create personalized devotionals and prayers, classify or moderate text you provide, improve the relevance of searches and conversations, and transcribe voice messages. These features are optional. AI-generated content may contain errors and does not replace medical or psychological care or individual professional advice.

2. What information may be sent

Depending on the feature you choose, the following may be sent:

• typed messages, questions, conversation excerpts, and text you provide to receive a response;
• audio you choose to record for transcription and the resulting text;
• context needed for personalization, such as language, preferences, your goal in the app, life situation, reported emotions, and familiarity with the Bible;
• excerpts from biblical content and previous responses needed to interpret your request.

Your journal, conversations, and information about your spiritual life may contain sensitive personal data, including information about religious beliefs or health. Send only what you want to use for that feature, and avoid including third-party data unless necessary.

3. Who receives the data and why

The data needed to fulfill your request passes through Biblie's infrastructure and may be processed by OpenAI, an external AI provider. It is sent to generate the requested response or content, transcribe audio, perform related searches, and identify content that requires additional care. Processing may take place outside Brazil, as explained in the Privacy Policy.

This consent does not authorize Biblie to use the content of your journal or conversations for personalized advertising. Information about storage, sharing, security, and your rights is available in the Privacy Policy.

4. Your choice in the application

On the “Your consent to the use of AI” screen, tapping “Accept and continue” records your choice and enables AI features. Tapping “Not now” records your refusal; features that depend on sending data to AI remain unavailable until you consent. You may continue using Biblie features that do not depend on AI.

Your choice status appears under Profile → Account → Privacy and AI. On that screen, “Review consent” lets you read the information again and consent after an earlier refusal. You may withdraw your consent at any time, free of charge. If you have already consented, request withdrawal by emailing dev@efice.co and include the email address associated with your account. The current version of the review screen does not offer a button to withdraw active consent.

Withdrawal prevents new processing based on this consent after it takes effect. It does not undo data transfers that have already occurred. To request deletion of your data or account, use the contact channel above or follow the account deletion instructions, subject to applicable legal retention requirements.

5. Statement associated with consent

By tapping “Accept and continue”, you agree that the data needed for the AI features you choose to use may be sent to OpenAI for the purposes explained on the consent screen and detailed in this document. Giving consent does not require you to use these features and does not authorize any purpose other than those described.

If the purposes or categories of data sent change materially, we will present updated information and request another choice when necessary.
